{:ok, :available} — open to freelance & full-time

I build systems that refuse to go down.

I'm Ahmed Ismail — a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Elixir, Phoenix & OTP. For five years I've shipped real-time platforms that treat failure as a design input: supervised, concurrent, and still up when it matters.

01about

Reliability isn't a feature. It's a discipline.

I'm Muhammad Ahmed Ismail — a Senior Software Engineer from Lahore, Pakistan, and I've spent 5+ years inside the Elixir / Phoenix ecosystem. The BEAM taught me a different way to think about software: don't prevent every failure — architect so failure doesn't matter.

That philosophy has shipped production platforms across cybersecurity, SaaS, logistics and education: threat-monitoring dashboards, photography business suites, freight-tracking systems and learning platforms with 120+ table schemas behind Absinthe GraphQL APIs.

I'm active on the Elixir Forum and Slack, contribute to open source, and spend free cycles helping new developers fall for Elixir's concurrency model.

01

Failure is a design input

Supervision trees, GenServer/GenStage flows and :one_for_one strategies — systems that heal themselves instead of paging you at 3am.

02

Real-time by default

LiveView interfaces, Phoenix Channels and event-driven pipelines over Kafka and RabbitMQ — state that moves the moment the world does.

03

Owned end to end

From PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization to the polished UI and the Docker/CI pipeline that ships it.

02experience

Five years in production.

From associate to senior — leading architecture, mentoring engineers and keeping mission-critical systems alive.

03how i help

Three ways to put me to work.

Whether you need a new product built or an existing one made faster and more reliable — I cover the full lifecycle.

01

Build from scratch

Take an idea from zero to a launched product — architecture, database, real-time features and a polished UI, all shipped to production.

02

Scale & harden

Make slow, fragile apps fast and resilient. I use Elixir/OTP and the BEAM to handle concurrency and stay up under real load.

03

Join your team

Plug in as a senior engineer who ships clean, maintainable code and lifts the whole codebase — not just my own tickets.
